I am a noobie wheat grass grower, I have my fourth tray being planted today within the last 2 weeks.
I remember reading that good airflow will help to prevent mold. I tried to keep a great airflow by having a fan blowing on my wheat grass day in and day out. To my observation, the high wind flow puts the wheat grass into a protective mode - it does not 'bloom' completely - the grass around the outside of the tray and the corners mainly, have become weak, wilted, dried out no matter how much I water them. The grass becomes bitter and lacks it's full potential for juice. I strongly suggest that this growth is because of the wind I have kept too close on the blades. |
